I had a successful career in PR and Marketing before training as a therapist, which culminated in the running of my own PR agency. Being from Cornwall but spending a long time in London and then Sydney has given me a wide variety of experience. I aim to be empathic, non judgemental, open and honest in my everyday life as well as when working with my clients.
I am deeply compassionate and am committed to enabling those who have suffered any type of adversity find their voice and start to heal. I enjoy supporting individuals or families in their quest for more harmony in their lives and understanding themselves better. I feel honoured to do this type work and have great admiration for those who trust in me to accompany them on this journey.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethics. You can check out what this means in terms of my commitment to my clients by clicking on the tab above.
I am ICO registered, Enhanced DBS checked, fully Insured and have regular Supervision. The most recent professional development I have undertaken is gaining Level 1 & 2 in Dyadic Developmental Parenting and Psychotherapy which is an attachment focused, therapeutic parenting model and I am now working towards certification.
I run a private practice from home on the outskirts of Penzance or at therapy centre Mudita House – a lovely Victorian terrace town house, nestled between Morrab Gardens, Penlee Park, and the Sea. It has good natural light and a tranquil non- clinical atmosphere. It is within easy walking distance of Penzance town centre. Alongside my private practice I also work on a self-employed basis for a variety of organisations including the NHS and CLEAR.
I am a mum to two children – a 10 year old daughter and 16 year old son (wish me luck). Plus I have a husband and a dog. I enjoy yoga, walking, reading, music, rummaging at car boot sales and the odd wild night out dancing……..
